About A&R Video

Andrew & Rowena Sommer started A&R Video in 1989 as a small video production company catering to the needs of a diverse clientele as non broadcast video production was beginning to become affordable to more then just corporations with deep pockets. A&R Video quickly developed a client base of both large and small corporations, state and local municipalities and private individuals. Productions included promotional video brochures, legal depositions, documentation and high-end social event videos. In 1990 A&R video started shooting video depositions developing techniques and procedures that eventually became standard practices in the legal community. Many of the specifications in Florida for construction site inspection and pre-construction video were actually written by Rowena Sommer at the request of numerous engineering firms and Florida municipalities. Recently Andrew Sommer became a Certified Court Video Specialist through the American Guild of Court Videographers. This prestigious certification has allowed A&R Video to confidently move deeper into the legal video field with the addition of a whole menu of legal video services that can only be properly served with this training. Combined with A&R Video 's long history of other types of video production the Central Florida legal community now has new valuable resource.

Andrew brought to A&R Video his skills from 12 years as a live and recorded music sound engineer. He Graduated from Florida Tech. In 1983 with a degree in Air Commerce with a minor in Business Administration. He then began studying video production in 1988 through the University of Central Florida quickly acquiring and mastering the skills needed to produce complete video productions from concept to delivery. Producing everything from live multi-camera talk and cooking shows to scripted corporate video brochures. Other related areas of expertise developed over the years include graphic design, web design and internet video media.

Rowena graduated in Civil Engineering at Drexel University in Philadelphia in 1983 initially working as a design engineer on civil capital improvement projects. Her education and insight gave A&R Video an early edge in construction documentation video.
